| How Can We Be of Service? |
| |
Our goal is to reduce conflicts between man and pests by providing
solutions using the most acceptable and economical methods possible.
Animals and insects are an important part of our environment, and add to the
beauty of our world in the proper settings. However, they can
become destructive, damaging landscaped areas, homes and other
buildings, and commonly contribute to erosion, slope failure and water
loss.
Additionally,
animals often carry diseases such as bubonic plague, murine typhus,
rabies, hystoplasmosis, salmonella (food poisoning), Rocky Mountain
spotted fever and others.
Our company has evolved into five distinct divisions that specialize
in the following areas: rodents, termites, birds, plant healthcare and
general pests (including bees, wasps, insects and wildlife invaders).
Our newest “Going-Green” division offers eco-friendly pest solutions
for the home and garden. |

| Rodent Control |
Our rodent division provides solutions for rodent pests that can invade a home / business and destroy landscaping. We offer control methods such as baiting, habitat modification, trapping and burrow fumigants. Rodents can carry many diseases, one of the most famous being the bubonic plague which is carried by ecto-parasites (fleas). Humans and pets can become the victims of flea bites. Some other diseases, such as the hantavirus, can be deadly to humans. Hantavirus is associated with deer mice.
Pests Controlled Include Gophers, Ground Squirrels, Rats, Mice, Voles, Rabbits & Bats
Rat Fact: Rats can squeeze through a hole the diameter of a quarter.

Wood & Structural Repairs
|
 |
|
Wood destroying organisms are structural invaders that can easily destroy a home if left unattended. In southern California there are two major termite invaders that cause millions of dollars of damage each year to homes and structures: the DRYWOOD (Kalotermes) and the SUBTERRANEAN TERMITE (Reticulitermes).
Termite Trivia: Subterranean termites can consume over 15 pounds of wood in a single week. The queen of a certain termite species can lay 40,000 eggs per day.

| Bird Control |
Bird problems can come in many forms. Nesting and / or roosting in unwanted areas can create nuisance noise, sanitation and maintenance problems, as well as potential health hazards in buildings and homes. Bird droppings are unsightly, can cause staining or damage and promote the transmission of several diseases affecting man. Prevention of nesting in or around air conditioning and heating units is especially important.
Our bird division offers humane control of a variety of birds by our exclusion experts. Some of the species we provide management solutions for include:
- Pigeons
- Swallows
- Starlings
- Gulls
- Sparrows
- Crows
We also offer a variety of retail products that you may purchase from us for DIY projects. These products include ledge repelling spikes, netting and flock dispersal devices.
Droppings from pest birds can contain many fungal and viral diseases that can seriously affect the health, or create a liability issue if you are the owner of a public building. Diseases typically associated with bird droppings include:
- Hystoplasmosis
- Candidiasis
- Paratyphoid
- Salmonella
- Listiosis
- Encephalitis
- Meningitis
- Newcastle Disease and Trichomoniasis
Where necessary, our technicians use specific disinfectants that kill all bacteria and viruses during the clean-up process, while protecting their own health with personal protective equipment. Bird Fact: Feral pigeons are direct descendants of the ancient Roman homing pigeons; they are non-migratory and live and die in the same place. Removal of these birds from their nesting site will not solve the problem, as they will “home” back to the site.

Bed Bug Fact: Female bed bugs lay their eggs in secluded areas, depositing up to five a day and 500 during a lifetime. When first laid, the eggs are sticky, causing them to adhere to substrates. Newly hatched nymphs are no bigger than a pinhead. Bed bugs are very resilient. Nymphs can survive months without feeding and the adults for more than a year.
